Colorful Colorado

Fall Getaway! On Saturday we ventured up into the mountains to check out the amazing changing leaves. Last year we missed the leaves because of a cold spell we got but this year it's still in the 80's in Denver. We drove up the 285 and enjoyed the explosion of colors, stopped in Jefferson at the post office because randomly they sell fudget there, then continued on to Breckenridge to have a delightful lunch and spend some time shopping, and ended up in Vail overnight. It was incredible. We stayed at the Lodge at Vail and somehow ended up in one of their suites with a private patio that led to the pool and was nestled directly against the ski slopes. Vail is such a beautiful ski town with their ritzy shops, many ski chalets, and great food. This was the first time we have taken an overnight trip for nearly 8 months and we are so glad we did...even though it took us 6 hours to get home because of traffic!!!!

Enjoying all Denver has to offer

There are so many reasons why we love living in Colorado. One of those reasons is all the wonderful professional sport teams. Last weekend we cheered on the Colorado Rapids in an awesome soccer game. Liz played soccer all through her youth so it was a trip down memory lane. It was fun to cheer on the Rapids as they defeated Chivas USA 3-0. It put us in the mood to kick around the soccer ball!
