Dearest Friend,

Thank you for taking the time to visit our profile and give us the opportunity to share a little piece of our lives with you. Our hearts go out to you at this time in your life. We know you are faced with many decisions but we are confident that you will make the best choice for you and your precious little one. We can’t pretend to know the heart ache that you are going through, but we do know the pain of yearning to start our family and being filled with disappointment at every turn. It is through our trials that we have come to understand the miracle of adoption and the profound affect that it has already had on our lives. We find great comfort in knowing that Heavenly Father has placed us on this life path because there is a precious child that is supposed to be a part of our family.

Our lives together:
Our marriage is filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect for one another. We truly are best friends. Our lives together began when we were both living in San Luis Obispo, California. Liz was working and Mike was attending college. We knew almost instantly that our lives were meant to be lived together. On February 25, 2005 we were married in the Orlando, Florida Temple. It was a day filled with perfection that has led to a marriage filled with love. Shortly after we were married we moved to Santa Barbara, California where Mike finished school and Liz worked. We’d always dreamed of moving to Denver to be closer to family and near the mountains. In July of 2009 we were able to make that dream come true. We enjoy spending time together, traveling, going to dinner and a movie, exploring the area that we live in, fishing, hiking, spending time in the mountains, being around family, visiting museums, a relaxing day at the zoo, and even enjoying a quiet night at home.

A little bit about Liz: (Written by Mike)
I love to talk about my wonderful wife Liz. The first thing I noticed about Liz was her fun and contagious energy. You simply can’t be in a room with Liz and not know it. She is brilliant, highly educated, very well accomplished, and there isn’t a human being on this planet that is more fun to be around. She has opened my eyes to incredible experiences and has brought the indescribable into my life. She makes me feel like I can do anything. When I think about how much she’s influenced me, inspired me, and supported me, it makes me excited to see what she will do for our children, who will enjoy her influence throughout their entire lives. Our children will have the most amazing mother and they will grow up knowing that they can accomplish anything.

A little bit about Mike: (Written by Liz)
Words can’t begin to express the love that I have for Mike. He is my best friend, my partner and my soul mate. He brings me all the joy that I have ever dreamed of in a companion. He’s full of love and full of life. He lives his life with full gusto and brings laughter to all those around him. He enjoys exploring new places and venturing to do things he’s never done before. I’ve enjoyed so many things in life with him and whether it’s something big, like traveling to Europe, or something everyday like visiting a park, it’s always a moment I cherish. It’s been a delight to be the person at his side as we’ve explored the world and the many marvels around us. He brings hope into my life and keeps me calm when I am afraid. He is my rock. I look forward to the day that I get to raise a family with him. He has always been amazing with children and I know that our children will love and respect him and his wonderful qualities.

Our future:
We are looking forward to the day when we get to welcome a child into our lives. We have dreamed of building our family for years and are excited about all the opportunities that lie ahead of us. We dream of the day when we get to read bedtime stories, rock our child to sleep, watch their first steps, hear their first words, go on play dates, teach them how to ride a bike, and all the other amazing things that accompany parenthood. Raising children will undoubtedly be the most difficult yet most rewarding part of our lives. We look forward with great anticipation to the day that our nursery is no longer empty.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit more about us. We pray that you will have the strength and courage that you need in your life, that you will be filled with love during these times and always.

Best,

Liz and Mike
